Decent value on the 60V kit

I was looking for a new set of tools and saw the 60V series promotion. I picked up the impact driver and got a free battery with it, which felt like a good deal. The price was competitive, especially with the bundle. I was a bit hesitant since I usually stick with other brands, but this was a worthwhile purchase. I saved a decent amount compared to buying everything separately. It arrived in about a week. Overall, it feels like I got good value for my money.

Mostly happy with the cordless drill

I bought the 20V cordless drill kit during their holiday sale. The drill itself is pretty powerful and feels well-made. It handled all the tasks around the house I threw at it, from hanging shelves to assembling furniture. The battery life is respectable too; I usually get a good few hours out of it before needing a charge. The rapid charger works quickly, which is a plus. My only minor issue was the tool bag it came with; it's a bit flimsy and not as spacious as I hoped for carrying extra bits. But for the price I paid, especially with the sale discount, it was a good buy. Delivery was within the promised timeframe, about 6 days.

Good impact wrench for the garage

I got the 20V impact wrench from Durofix a little while back, and it's been pretty solid. Used it for some car stuff, like rotating tires and changing brakes, and it handled everything without a problem. The battery lasted a good amount of time too. Shipping took about 5 days to reach me in Arizona, which was fine. Overall, I'm happy with it.

Is the 60V series worth the extra cash over 20V for a pro?

M MeenaR 1 month ago ✓ Best Answer
For pros, absolutely. More power, less bogging down, especially with things like circular saws or grinders. Plus, they often have sales on the 60V series.

G GauravS 1 month ago
The battery life is way better too.

That's what I was thinking. My 20V sometimes struggles.

N NehaJ 1 month ago
Depends on the tools. For drills, 20V is fine. For heavy-duty stuff like reciprocating saws, 60V all day.

Yeah, makes sense.

Which Durofix impact wrench for a home mechanic?

P PriyaS 1 month ago ✓ Best Answer
Get the 20V impact wrench. It's powerful enough for most car stuff without breaking the bank.

Yeah, the 20V one is solid. Had mine for a year.

Is it good for lug nuts?

V VikramG 1 month ago
If you can swing it, the 60V impact wrench is a beast. Overkill for some, but I never worry about power.

But future proofing, right?

Definitely overkill for my needs.

Durofix vs Milwaukee for cordless drills?

R RohanK 1 month ago ✓ Best Answer
Milwaukee is top-tier, but Durofix gives you amazing value. For most users, Durofix 20V drills are plenty powerful and way cheaper.

Is Durofix a good brand for professional mechanics then?
6
D DeepikaP 1 month ago
I agree. My Durofix drill holds up fine.

A AdityaM 1 month ago
If you're a heavy pro, Milwaukee might edge it out for sheer durability and constant abuse. But Durofix is closing the gap.

That's fair.

Durofix digital torque wrench vs electronic torque adapter?

K KiranP 1 month ago ✓ Best Answer
Depends on your existing ratchet. If you have a good one, the adapter is cheaper and works fine.

The adapter is surprisingly accurate.

Good point. I already have a few.

Go for the dedicated digital torque wrench if precision is super critical. It's a single unit and feels more robust.

I like the all-in-one aspect.
